More great destinations within Malaysia

Malaysia is a stunning holiday destination and Langkawi Island is just one of many great places to visit. After visiting this stunning island you might want to see/explore the following destinations:

Penang: Another great island, known for its amazing food and great shopping. The city of Georgetown is a heritage site, so great for those that look for cultural highlights.
Cameron Highlands: Awesome highlands. Cool climate. Wonderful place to catch your breath. Perfect place to see the tea plantations and also great for hiking enthusiasts.
Malacca: Like Georgetown this is a heritage site, known for its perfectly preserved historic center. Great place for food and sightseeing.
Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s capital is great for shopping, food, lots of attractions and affordable luxurious hotels. Don’t skip it as it has many amazing sights.
Genting Highlands: Another well-known highland destination. Enjoy the cooler climate but no hiking or tea here, only entertainment like shopping malls, theme parks and casinos (get familiar with the games by playing at HolyMolyCasinos Malaysia before your trip!).
Perhentian: One of the most stunning islands of Malaysia. Expect to enjoy crystal clear water, a delightful beach vibe and small cotages along the shores.
Lake Kenyir: Man made lake system, but teeming with wildlife. Not that touristy so it might be tricky to get there (we’d suggest a self-drive) and also tricky to find proper accommodation. But once there, you will be amazed by its beauty.
Royal Belum: A wonderful nature park north of peninsular Malaysia. Great for lake and river cruises. Several very nice accommodations and a really nice way to experience the deep Malaysian jungles.
Taman Negara: Another amazing national park. Easy reachable from Kuala Lumpur. Great place to spot small wildlife and insects.
