Kuala Lumpur is a vibrant, modern city full of life and energy. 1. Shopping

Kuala Lumpur is a shopper’s paradise – from luxurious malls selling high-end brands and goods to bustling night markets offering local products, there’s something for everyone. • Thaipusam: This Hindu festival takes place each year in January or February and sees devotees traveling around the city wearing religious costumes and bearing elaborate sculptures of kavadi.
• Chinese New Year: Chinese New Year celebrations occur each year in February with decorations, lion dances, and fireworks lighting up the city.
• Wesak Day: The Celebration of the birth, enlightenment and passing away of Lord Buddha usually takes place in the first week of May. Witness a huge parade with stunning floats.
• KL Tower International Towerthon: Test your fitness by running up 1,400 stairs to the top of the Menara KL Tower each August.
• Malaysia Day: Every 16th of September marks Malaysia Day which celebrates the official formation of Malaysia’s federation. Expect traditional cuisine, cultural performances, and fireworks during this special event.
• Deepavali: Held in November or December each year, Deepavali is a popular Hindu festival celebrated with lights, music, and dancing across Kuala Lumpur.
• Christmas & New Years Eve: Shopping malls all display the most extravagant Christmas decorations from November the first week of January each year. This really is the season to be jolly in KL.

3. Beautiful Attractions

The Petronas Towers are one of the most iconic sights of Kuala Lumpur while other landmarks such as the Batu Caves provide an insight into its fascinating history. The city combines impressive modern skyscrapers with traditional architecture, busy big city life with large green parks!

4. Delicious Food

Foodies will rejoice at the many culinary delights that await them in Kuala Lumpur. From traditional Malaysian dishes like nasi lemak (coconut rice) to international cuisine – there’s something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds!
